A CHRISTMAS CAROLLAGE

House arrived with an ill will
To a poor abode.
No, not clicking in the fire but fell
Guiding principle to do so.

They might have fastened their aprons behind
But if you had judged,
Lurked and glared outmenacing
Til your eyes ache but you won’t
Answer to his call.

Compiled from the 12th line of every 12th page of Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’
