POPE STARTS WORLD WAR III

You'd think so judging from the recent headlines. All it comes down to is that the Holy Father made a cack-handed reference to an obscure Byzantine emperor who thought the Prophet was a bit of an evil wanker.
His comments caused 'uproar' in the muslim world. Effigies of the pope were burned in Pakistan. Behaviour that is not normally seen outside of Lewes in Sussex.

The Vatican have defended the speech by claiming that God's representative on earth was just trying to point out that spreading the word on the end of a sword is a bad thing. This, of course, prompts thoughts of Papal pots and Islamic kettles. The Crusades anyone???

POPE EYE

Pope Pius IX (1792-1878) was said to possess the power of the 'Evil Eye'. Admittedly not quite the same as in witchcraft where a sorceror's unwavering gaze could curse a victim. Dear old Pius was believed to cause havoc unwittingly. Bad fortune could befall those he 'blessed'.

It's not known whether the current Pontiff has similar qualities though I believe he has the cold dead eyes of a killer.

REMEMBER SEPTEMBER 11TH

9/11 1973. The day the bastard Pinochet lead a U.S backed military coup and overthrew the democratically elected government of Salvador Allende.
In the following years over 4,000 Chileans were murdered or 'disappeared' and thousands more tortured.
